A new feature in the Coverage Explorer allows you to download all listed zones and their detailed metadata as a CSV file. This includes information on available signals, granularity, data sources, forecast availability, and historical data start dates. For electricity mix and flows, you can also access specific metadata for each electricity type and connection, enabling comprehensive analysis on your own terms.

This "Magic Week" was dedicated to refining your experience across the Electricity Maps Portal. Our focus was on making interactions with our data faster, clearer, and more reliable, ensuring you can discover insights with greater ease.

• Map and Visualization: The wind layer is restored to the map with proper forecast handling and fixed granularity switching; forecasted legends now appear correctly on price charts.

Our day-ahead price forecast models for all EU zones are now trained at a native 15-minute resolution, enabling more precise capture of inter-hourly fluctuations and price spikes. This significant improvement allows for forecasts that are even closer to real-world market signals, providing a clearer picture of future energy prices.

We're thrilled to introduce a significantly simplified experience for accessing global electricity data. To empower your non-commercial Scope 2 carbon accounting efforts, you can now get 5 datasets absolutely free. For all other needs, simply purchase and download datasets directly, removing any friction from your data acquisition journey. With this in place everyone can seamlessly access the high-quality, flow-traced data critical for accelerating global decarbonization.

We've released significant improvements to our forecasting models, providing enhanced accuracy for key grid signals across all lead times. This update delivers substantial nMAE improvements, including 8-12% for load, 6-8% for solar, and 5-6% for price forecasts at longer lead times (48-72 hours). Additionally, we've seen notable gains in production mix, with approximately 15% for Nuclear, 20% for Geothermal, and 5-9% for both Gas and Coal.

New endpoints for day-ahead modeled prices are now available in the API, providing enhanced data for trading exploration.

The Map now provides historical aggregations for exchange, production capacity, and exchange capacity, ensuring data parity across all views. This enhancement offers a more complete historical overview, now including current month and year data.
