About the role
An increasing number of organizations across the world rely on Electricity Maps to provide data and insights. It is crucial for us to provide accurate data for all hours of the year and to accurately predict future energy production mixes across the globe. Your job will be to enable this by:
- Contributing to the development of an end-to-end modeling pipeline running on cloud services.
- Automating and optimizing existing modeling pipelines to help deliver machine learning products more effectively.
- Participating in all phases of machine learning operations, from design through to deployment and operation.
- Improving testing, monitoring, and tooling for building ML pipelines. Ultimately we would like to automate as much of the pipeline as possible.
- Building infrastructure to handle a growing number of energy forecast models and geographic zones.
- Collaborating with our data scientists and engineers, as well as with our open-source community, to guarantee pristine data quality.
About you
We’re looking for an empathetic, purpose-driven ML Ops engineer who is comfortable working on complex problems. You are excited about the opportunity to help people around the world understand and reduce their carbon emissions. We prioritize your ability to deliver great work; we do not expect you to be an expert in the specific technologies we currently use.
As the ideal future teammate, you
- Are comfortable deploying machine learning models into a cloud-based infrastructure that processes large volumes of data.
- Have experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data storage and processing technologies.
- Have some experience building ML infrastructure using standard tools like MLflow or Terraform.
- Value automation and optimization.
- Thrive in an environment that provides autonomy, that supports your individual growth with interesting tasks, and that involves you in defining your role as you grow.
- Like working in a cross-functional team with talented people with different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 47 000 - 65 000 DKK per month, depending on experience.
